2015 Lake City Open Saturday Tee Times

The 25th annual Lake City Open will be taking place in Polson at Polson Bay Golf Course this weekend.  This event annually attracts one of the states strongest amateur and professional fields in Montana.  Top amateurs in this years field include past champions and Great Falls natives Kelly Gilligan, Spencer Williams, and Ryan Fritz, Craig Hurlbert of Hamilton, and Jerry Pearsall out of Billings.   Other amateur standouts include Carroll College golf coach Ben McIntyre, and 2013 Mid Amateur champion Logan Lindholm.  The Lake City Open is the first 2015 points event for the Montana State Golf Association.  The professional field is led by Canadian tour player Mike Grob, multiple Lake City Open champion Ryan Malby & returning champion Jim Mee, & 3 time Pacific Northwest Section PGA player of the year Corey Prugh of Spokane, WA.  The Senior Professional field is led by 2011 Montana Open winner and former PGA Tour player Lon Hinkle and host professional and past Lake City Open champion Roger Wallace.  The Professional Purse is $9500 with $3000 to first place  and and the Amateur purse is $9250 with $750 to the overall champion.  Spectators are welcome and the leaders for the both the amateurs and professionals will tee off Sunday afternoon.  Please seewww.polsonbaygolf.com for tee times late Saturday evening.
The Lake City Open is presented by Polson Dollars for Scholars.  Polson Dollars for Scholars is a locally operated and supported scholarship foundation, established to provide Polson High School graduates with scholarships and financial encouragement.  The Lake City Open annually raises upwards of $10,000 for the scholarship fund through tournament sponsors.  Founded in 2002 Polson Dollars for Scholars has awarded $109,400 to 121 Polson High School Graduates.
